For those of you who are into your Serbian punk you may remember a band called Lets Grow back in the day, well here we have some of the members coming back together to create a whole new heap of mayhem. This band started off as a solo project by Vladimir "Ripkid" Bizic but over the past couple of years have grown into this pretty awesome blend of stoner metal and classic rock amongst other noises.
Their EP, which is free to download, has 3 nice and chunky tracks to get your head banging to. 'Who fired the workers of happiness Factory?' is just part 1 of their EP trilogy 'A Night You'll Never Remember'. I must say if this is only part 1, they picked their tracks very well as I for one now can't wait to hear the rest of the trilogy.
Vladimir's vocals have an air of Roland Orzabal (Tears for Fears) about them, which sucks you right in. The entire EP also has a 90's grunge feel to it, stripping away all the artsy fartsy effects and musical snobbery a lot of todays rock bands are guilty of. I have had these 3 tracks repeating for an hour now and I am still not bored of them, which is pretty impressive as I have a terribly short attention span and frequently get distracted by shiny things.
My advice is, add them on Bandcamp, add them on that other dreaded social site, and like me, look forward to what they will be doing in the future.
