CD in hand, comfy house pants donned, floppy t-shirt full of holes and I'm almost ready. I really need this one to be good. Suddenly, Catherine finds a crumb of squidgy on the kitchen surface that I'd previously lost and given up any attempts in finding. Nice one. We're not dead yet, so out come the headphones, a spliff, an ice cold vimto and we're getting comfy.
You know, I'm not normally one for gushing over this genre of music, but I'll give it a chance. It's not becoming of a man like me to judge off so little input. We're in it for the duration. I'm presented with the beautifully packaged FUSED with a pretty little lyrics book and everything, I open and peruse. I expect greatness.
I'm sorry I just don't get it. The crapness overflows into my ears. Song after song is polluted with shite. I'm all for swearing; god damn it George swear like fuck, but these guys are VERY sweary. Most of the time really unnecessarily so. They sound like a crap pikey version of The Automatic, with all the grace and sophistication of a tramps pocket. Wanna buy a daag?
It's the crap distortion on meine cline taibe. And the.... you know what, I was going to start a rant about the rest, but I can't think of anything good to say about them. And as my mother always says, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. Avoid like the fucking plague.
