Don Broco are considered a rare band within their genre, hammering out catchy melodies and huge choruses in such a way that can’t be compared to anyone else on the scene at the moment. Having spent the past couple of years building their reputation, the release of last year’s EP Big Fat Smile has seen the band grow considerably in popularity and even gained them more attention in the industry, after signing to Sony & Raw Power management spin-off Search and Destroy, the band have finally released their first full length album Priorities.

Firstly, go check out the album now…if you’re into pop punk or dabble in within that genre, then you’ll love Don Broco. Secondly, if you’re familiar with the band or not, it’s worth noting that Priorities is a giant leap forward from Big Fat Smile in terms of songwriting and sound. The band have finally found a sound that works for them and use it to their advantage, take the title track Priorities for example, the chorus is full of vocal harmonies between lead singer Rob Damiani & drummer Matt Donnelly that create something special and memorable. You’ll be humming or shouting the chorus at your friend’s for days, weeks even. Made better by the fact your friends will join in, it’s infectious.

Priorities is definitely one of the highlight albums of the year, considering it’s the band’s first full length, it shows consistency and definitely gives the band one hell of a task trying to follow it up in a few years, that’s the way these parties roll.
