'A River Of Blood', the first in a trilogy of videos to be taken from the band's forthcoming album 'Fused', released late summer.
Allan Struthers: Is that spanish for dirty dog?
Lizzie Banoffee: Looks like Gotye gone bad in the video with the face painting thing Are maggots just like, some kind of shorthand for metal? Erm, as far as the music goes, I'd have loved this when I was about 13 / 14. I'm not finding it difficult to listen to, I don't think I could say I dislike it, but I don't necessarily like it either. It's tight, well played, but somehow a bit bland? I think I might give it another "on the fence" 3 Beards.
Allan Struthers: The lyrics sound like they were lifted from a piece of school paper in the sock draw of an angsty 15 year old, hidden from his middle class parents who would be appalled by the rude words.
Sam Green: Late 90's metal anyone? Sounds like the old Manson spooky kids stuff but with a northern accent. Pretty nondescript if I'm honest. I do however like the video. 3 beards.
Allan Struthers: Not particularly impressed by the whole thing, the energy feels kind of sterile and forced. 2 beards
Lizzie Banoffee: Nice double bass drum pedal work.
Darren Bibby: It's a very familiar alt-rock sound, with the drop tune riffs etc. I think there was actually something vaguely unique about it, maybe it was the laconic vocal styles. Having said that, it didn't sound particularly vibrant, and the lyrics seem very adolescent (the band don't look it). Maybe that was the aim. 3 beards
Darkwulf: I've seen this band live more times than I can remember. An let's just say this song is the most exciting thing they have done, and even at that, its still fucking boring sounding. 1 beard
